Various shifts for each position are available in St. Louis City, St. Louis, Franklin, and Jefferson Counties. Reliable transportation and the willingness to travel are required for all.
Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)
Summary:
Management and oversight of day to day client services and delivery of skilled nursing care. Responsible for the assistance in the provision of home health care services that reflect the home health care agency philosophy and standards of home health and nursing care of assigned clients.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with a current Missouri License. Must have at least one year of experience in the home health care or related field.
Home Health Aides and Certified Nurses Assistants (CNA)
Summary:
Responsible for quality and safe delivery of home health care services as assigned by supervisor. Duties include assisting client with activities of daily living and advanced personal care tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school graduate with certification as Home Health Aide or current Missouri Certified Nurses Assistant. Must have at least one year of experience in the home health care or related field.
Nurse Aide
Summary:
The nurse aide’s function is to help the client regain self-confidence and usefulness when possible; to assist with hygiene and activities of daily living when necessary; perform daily household routines; support and reassure the client with an acute, chronic or terminal illness. The aide works cooperatively with the client/responsible party and the Alpha Care supervisor to deliver appropriate care.
Qualifications:
18 years or older
Be able to read, write and follow directions
At least 6 months paid experience as Agency Homemaker, Nurse Aide or
At least 1 year’s experience (paid or unpaid) in caring for children, sick or aged individuals; or
Successfully completed training as a Certified Nurse’s Aide
Live-In Companion
Summary:
When there is no adult available who can assist in the daily routines, the live-in companion may take responsibility. The live-in works cooperatively with the client/responsible party and the Alpha Care supervisor to deliver appropriate care. The live-in may act as a companion to the client offering friendship, emotional support, reassurance, security and general helpfulness. The goals are to maintain the client’s safety in their own home. The live-in’s function is to help the client with hygiene when necessary and perform the daily household routines.
Qualifications:
18 years or older
Be able to read, write and follow directions
At least 6 months paid experience as Agency Homemaker, Nurse Aide or
At least 1 year’s experience (paid or unpaid) in caring for children, sick or aged individuals; or
Successfully completed training as a Certified Nurse’s Aide
